The cafés of Paris have traditionally been called“ zincs”
(pronounced ‘ zang’ ) the name being derived from the pewter bar counters which became a trademark of these
establishments. The zincs of Paris offer a casual, unpretentious environment attracting people from all walks of life - from those who wish to linger over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine - to those who desire a hearty meal. Today as before, the zincs remain an important social meeting place for locals and visitors alike.
Le Zinc in San Francisco's
Noe Valley neighborhood recaptures the ambience and character of
this
traditional café culture, offering favorite French dishes and an extensive wine list. The bistro decor of earthy tones and dark wood, complete with an antique zinc bar, is casual yet elegant. Food and drinks may also be enjoyed in the sunny garden patio.

Whether you start the day with a
cup of coffee, drop in for a generous salad at lunch or sit down to a relaxing three course dinner complimented by a fine bottle of wine- we wish you a memorable experience and bon appetit! |
